These terms apply to timezones.in, its embeddable clock and its API (together, “the service”), provided by Boffin Coders Pvt Ltd, trading as Boffin Coders (“we”). By using the service you agree to them. If you are a consumer, nothing here removes rights you have under the law of your country.
What you get
Free access to timezone information, tools and an API, with no guarantee of availability. We may change or withdraw features. We will keep existing page URLs and the embed URL working wherever we reasonably can.
Accuracy
Timezone rules are drawn from the IANA tz database and are usually correct, but governments change rules at short notice and data can lag. Do not rely on the service for anything where a wrong time would cause harm — medical, aviation, legal deadlines, financial settlement. Check an authoritative source for those.
Accounts
An account is tied to an email address you control. Keep sign-in links private; anyone with a valid link can sign in as you until it is used or expires. You can delete your account at any time from the account page. We may suspend accounts used for abuse, spam or attacks on the service.
API and embed
The API and embed widget are free for personal and commercial use within the published rate limits. You must not: circumvent rate limits; resell raw API access as your own service without attribution; remove the link back to timezones.in from the embed; or use either to send unsolicited messages. We may revoke keys that breach these terms.
Content and intellectual property
The site’s design and code are ours. Timezone data is from the public-domain IANA database; the zone catalogue is from the MIT-licensed @vvo/tzdb; map geometry is from Natural Earth (public domain). You may quote or link to pages freely.
Liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties and are not liable for any loss arising from use of the service, including from inaccurate times. Nothing limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy notice, which forms part of these terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India and the courts of Mohali, India, except that consumers in the EU, UK or Australia may rely on the mandatory consumer laws and courts of their home country.
